Pritam Bani Kaur
Pritam Bani Kaur (Barbara Burns) is the Owner of Devotion Yoga of Westchester. Pritam Bani is a certified Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher IKTYA, RYT 200, Sound Healer and Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master. Pritam Bani Kaur is a Black Belt in Okinawan Budo Kaisi-Do Karate.
Kundalini Yoga found Pritam Bani at a point in her life where she felt something was missing, although she could not pinpoint what that was. It all started with a breath, a few emotionally powerful and meaningful meditations for her to realize this is what she was seeking. The desire to learn more grew stronger each day.
In September 2016, she was guided to enroll in the Kundalini Yoga (Authentic Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan) Level 1 Teacher Training Program. She studied at Kundalini Yoga East located in New York City. She completed Yoga training in May 2017 and was eager to being teaching. She realized the best way to do this was to open a dedicated Kundalini Yoga Studio in Croton on Hudson, NY. She quickly found the perfect location and Devotion Yoga was born.
Within a couple of months, she resigned from her long-time job in Commodities to focus her full attention on building a business and teaching. Applying the knowledge learned from years in the financial world and integrating with her spiritual connectivity yielded amazing results.
She teaches from her heart with wisdom, love and truth combined. Pritam Bani thoroughly enjoys her life and is grateful for all of gifts that Kundalini Yoga has brought to her, and continues to with each day.
Kellen Knight is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered instructor in the practices of Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. She is also a certified White Light Reiki Master. It is her deepest passion, her personal dharma, to be part of a studio that offers Yoga to the community; impacting our world one soul at a time.
A lifelong endurance athlete, Kellen’s journey to Yoga began in February 2015 in a “bicycle versus auto accident.” It was the precipice of life and death that her dismantling of ego began. Amazingly, it was during that time of intense physical and emotional pain and turmoil, hopelessness and fear that she found and embodied Yoga into her very being.
Kellen considers teaching Yoga to be immensely humbling, sacred and fun. You will find that she leads her classes with compassion, authenticity, fun and intention and is dedicated to creating a sacred space where her students feel nurtured, loved, challenged and safe. Kellen encourages her students in developing their highest versions of themselves. Through Yoga, we journey together to dive deep within and burn through the Samskaras, creating space for transformation.
